Vesak 2012

On Wesak day In early morning on Wesak Day i have gone to paddy filed to prepare it for seeding. At around 11 AM , we have set off the journey to Colombo with one of our relatives. So in the evening , we have gone to the temple named "Devulam Vehera" in Pannipitiya. It is a different experience, true i have surprised to see the mass structures. But i have seen animals such as deers,hens,elephants are there . Why we need animals in the temple? Another thing i have noticed , they are referring "Mahamaya Deviya". Mahamaya Deviya is mother of Load Buddiha. In Theravada Buddhism, father or mother is not worshiped. So i am frustrated.
