Yukiguni by Yasunari Kawabata

I read the Sinhalese translation of the "Yukiguni'. Jayantha Wimalasena translated this masterpiece as "Himabima".
I have a mix feeling , even the book is awarded for Nobel prize , it didn't impress me much.
The relationship between Komatho and Shimamura is very complex one and it is difficult to understand. Even i don't have much interests on understand that.
But his explanation of the scenaries are vivid.
And other point i got familiarized on some Japanese stuff.
These images are from the google search.

Geishas - They are not prostutes.
Samisen - Japanese musical instrument
Matsu - Kind of Pine trees.
Kotatsu - this will keep you hot in winter.
This look like a modernized one.
