Sasala Rathriya - novel by Chandrasiri Dodangoda

Last week i read this novel within a short period of time. I think most of Sri Lankans knows Chandrasiri Dodangoda. He is a journalist of Divayina newspaper for a long period of time.

This Sasala Rathriya (i don't know how to translate this into English only Rathriya is night) base on the true story according to the preface. This shocking story (true) began innocent pretty girl from Horana area appeared in file industry suddenly. She had to act (main role) in bed room seancs in her first film and she acted only another film. This girl is disspered in Silk theater, same manner she entered into the industry.
Last year in news, this actress is murdered in her house. She was living alone for her life it seems.

That was all about the true story in the preface of the novel.
I found some important fact regarding this.
I will publish this as only limited number of people are reading this.

Her name was Dammi Fonseka ( not Malani Fonseka's sister) and her first film was Gatawarayo.

If anybody needs this novel, let me know.

You have made one mistake. Dammi Fonseka did not played any role in 'Gatawarayo'. The film that she played the main role was 'Palangatiyo', directed by Wasantha Obeysekara. It screened way back in late 1970's.

Other details are true, but I haven't seen the novel. For years, I was searching for the film, because I then liked it so much. But I never could find it.

I wish if I could read this novel.
